Amsterdam Port Authority

The Port of Amsterdam is an international logistical hub. A multipurpose port with an innovative all weather terminal for covered storage on coasters and inland vessels, a state of the art container terminal, and a modern cruise terminal. A new business park of 110 hectares is developed, dedicated for logistics companies. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is located l5 minutes by car from the Port area. By rail, barge, truck and short sea the Port of Amsterdam offers direct access to all European markets with their millions of customers.

CERES AMSTERDAM MARINE TERMINAL B.Y.










Ceres Amsterdam Marine Terminals is a multi-purpose facility. The main activities are RoRo-, container-, cocoa and break-bulk handling and are housing. The terminal (32 ha) has a 1,344m berth (incl. RoRo ramps) with 3 container cranes and l3 other ship to shore cranes. Water depth is l3 meters. All kinds of cargo handling equipment is available. The terminal also features 38'000sq'm warehouse space and 220 reefer receptacles. A very experienced staff is giving the right care to your cargo. Amsterdam is the largest cocoa port in the world. Ceres Amsterdam Marine Terminal is an important handler of this cocoa. Ceres not only discharges the cocoa from the vessel but also organizes the transport of the cocoa to the receivers warehouses and all related activities such as weighing, dumping and cleaning of containers.

Waterland Terminal B.V.

Waterland Terminal was founded in 1947 and is located in the Westport in the port of Amsterdam. Waterland terminal is a multipurpose stevedoring company specialized in the handling of steel Products, forest products, metals, palletized cargoes, projects and RO-RO cargoes.

There are two covered berths available for short sea-vessels up to 9000 ton deadweight. Cargoes discharged or loaded and which are not containerized are handled in a total indoor stevedoring-concept.

Discharged in door via a covered quay into the shed and loaded on to trucks or rail wagons under a roof as well. Using two 40 tons gantry cranes are also quartering an excellent barge operation. There are dehumifeid shedcompartements available.

Amsterdam Ports Association

The Amsterdam Ports Association (AmPorts) is a public Private Partnership of the port and transport industries, the local and provincial Administrations in the North Sea Canal area - the municipalities of Amsterdam, Beverwijk, Velsen and Zaanstad and the Province of North Holland.













The Association's objective is to market and promote the Port region as a multi-purpose port and a European distribution center. It promotes the wealth of opportunities and facilities in the region and encourages companies from abroad to set up in the area.
